Richard 3 Sweet (John 2-1)married Priscilla Carpenter (don't know when). Richard 3 Sweet was a Baptist church elder at Kingstown RI in the area set off in 1721 as N. Kingstown. His wife Priscilla was probably born about 1663 based on when her mother, Pricilla Benet, died (20 Oct 1663)in MA. It seems reasonable Pricilla & Richard married about ca.1680, and their children born starting in the 1680's. | Family F352

Vickey - I am also descended thru Thomas Sweet, b. 1732 and Frances Congdon and have been trying for years without success to document his parents as James Sweet and Mary Sherman
The Thomas Sweet who married Tabitha Bently was born in 1703. Thomas and Tabitha did have a child born Oct 8, 1742 (not 1732) that may have been named Thomas but James N. Arnold's "Vital Records of Rhode Island - 1636 - 1850" indicates the name of the child was illegible on official records.
Both Thomas, who married Tabitha, and James, who married Mary Sherman, were sons of Benoni Sweet and Elizabeth Mmanchester. Those births are documented in Arnold's as well.
I would like to compare notes/informatio on the children of Thomas and Frances. I am descended thru Samuel Thomas Sweet, b. Jan 8, 1765. My direct e-mail is cnjsweet@comcast.net | SHERMAN, Mary (I2663)

Re: Genealogy
Good Morning Shirley,
Thanks for the updates - find Delos Cramer and Bridget in the 1880 census with 3 children - Fred 16, Roena 10 and Hattie 10 living in Boonville. It does say that her father and mother were born in Ireland. Also a 17 year old servant, Lizzie Kenedy, living in the household.
I'm working forward, backward and all over the place - never know where or when I might find that elusive ancestor.
Yes, I have a genealogy program - Family Tree Maker and can import a gedcom. I'm still having problems trying to export gedcoms...know I'm doing something wrong....tried to send a gedcom of part of my info to a cousin and she ended up getting all my files...took her over 2 hours to download so am very reluctant to try that again! So please let me know if I can send you anything specific.
